Summer wedding at Bolton School
Back on the 24th July 2015 we did all the venue dressing for Terrianne and Michael’s summer wedding at Bolton school and it looked absolutely stunning!
I was first contacted by Terrianne and her friend Heather in the summer of 2014 after they had seen our facebook page. I invited them both to come and see me to chat through ideas for Terrianne’s big day. I remember the day I met these 2 lovely ladies very well as it was a beautiful summer’s day and we sat out in the garden to take full advantage of the sunshine! The ladies explained that they’d already been to see another venue dresser in a neighbouring town who owns their own shop, and although they liked her work, they didn’t feel 100% comfortable with her for one reason or another.
Terrianne explained what she wanted and I told her how i’d be able to help and came up with some good ideas to fit in with her budget. We had a lovely chat between the 3 of us and I offered to make an example couple of table centrepieces so that Terrianne could have a look and decide which she liked best. So I invited the ladies to return within a couple of weeks to see what I had come up with.
A couple of weeks later Terrianne and Heather returned for a 2nd visit to see my ideas. They both loved one particular design i’d made which was an upside down large martini vase with handmade rose ball on top and roses inside the bottom of the glass vase. They loved the fact it was so unusual but so simple and from then Terrianne had her heart set on this table centrepiece design!
After Terrianne’s 2nd visit, she decided that she was very happy with what I could offer and she booked me do to all the venue dressing for her summer wedding at Bolton School.
We kept in touch throughout the year leading up to her big day and all the details were finalised 1 month prior to the wedding with Terrianne and Michael visiting for a 3rd time. It was lovely to meet Michael on this 3rd visit as I hadn’t met him before.
I was super excited for Terrianne and Michael’s wedding as I knew it was going to look amazing and I couldn’t wait for the happy couple to see it!
The big day arrives!
After a lot of hard work and months of preparation, Terrianne and Michael’s wedding day had almost arrived and we now had the task of bringing this lovely couples vision to reality.
As it was quite a big wedding and we had so much to do, we began work the day before by setting up the wedding ceremony room in the Great Hall at Bolton School. This involved putting all the chair covers on and then baby pink organza sashes on the chairs. We also added a pair of beautiful bay trees to the top of the aisle which we’d decorated with roses, lights and butterflies.
On the day of the wedding itself, we arrived early in the morning to begin the huge task of dressing the wedding reception room which was in the arts centre of Bolton School.
It took us 5 hours to get everything done and looking perfect for the happy couple. We set up 100 chair covers with baby pink sashes, our white LED backdrop with warm white lights, our vintage style sweet cart complete with decorations and sweets chosen by the couple, our white wishing well post box, table swags, our handmade table numbers, handmade table plan on vintage style mirror and easel just outside of the room and of course the stunning large rose ball martini centrepieces which were the icing on the cake! Guests were starting to arrive outside just as we’d finished setting up, and as they entered the room to have a quick nosey I heard gasps of astonishment and comments at how beautiful the room looked, so this made me very happy.
Feedback from the happy couple
Following on from Terrianne and Michael’s summer wedding at Bolton School, I got in touch with Terrianne as I always do just to check she was happy with everything and if she had any feedback. She said she was more than happy and couldn’t thank me enough. She then went on and left a lovely review on our external reviews site:-
